Position Summary


As an Account Executive with Texicare, you will serve as a strategic partner to agents, driving the retention and organic growth of our group insurance portfolio. You will join a dynamic and passionate team that is transforming the health insurance landscape by delivering innovative and affordable products and services to small businesses in Texas.


Your primary focus will include providing excellent service and support to clients in West Texas (El Paso), retaining and growing the business, and building and maintaining long-term relationships with agencies. You will also collaborate closely with the Sales Executives and the Sales Enablement team to ensure smooth and seamless customer experience.


To excel in this role, you must be a results-oriented individual with a strong understanding of the health insurance industry and a proven track record of managing insurance accounts.


Essential Job Functions


In this role, you will:

  • Retain and expand existing group insurance business by providing excellent service and support.
  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with agencies to ensure Texicare remains a carrier of choice.
  • Lead the annual renewal cycle for all assigned accounts, delivering rate updates and plan options in a clear and timely manner.
  • Collaborating with the Sales Executives and the Sales Enablement team to facilitate a seamless transition from new sales to ongoing account management.
  • Resolve complex inquiries and service issues by identifying root causes to prevent recurring administrative burdens for the group.
  • Conduct plan reviews with agents and clients to ensure an excellent member experience.
  • Provide comprehensive training and support to agents regarding product portfolios, digital tools, and internal processes.
  • Manage account activities, renewal pipelines, and relationships within Salesforce CRM.


To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in account management for a health plan, TPA, or brokerage or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • A customer-oriented, results-driven, and ethical mindset.
  • A current health insurance license in Texas or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • The ability to travel within your territory 25% of the time.


It would be great if you have:

  • Are bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Live in West Texas, or El Paso but hybrid with ability to travel in Texas is acceptable.

Location


This role will service West Texas (El Paso). We estimate 25% travel time within the territory, with the remainder spent working remote in Texas.


Texicare offers a flex-hybrid environment centered around collaboration and connection. All employees must reside in Texas. Team members living in the Austin area are expected to work from our office at least two days per week. Those based outside the greater Austin area may work remotely within Texas, with occasional travel to Austin as needed.
