Position Summary

Our IT team is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Administrator to help ensure reliable, high-quality technology support across the organization. This role will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop hardware and software, supporting both Windows and Apple environments, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for end users. The Desktop Administrator will handle Tier 1 and Tier 2 support issues, manage user accounts via Azure Entra ID and Office 365, deploy software updates through tools like Intune and Jamf, and provide both in-person and remote support to employees across multiple locations.

Ideal candidates bring strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative and growth-oriented mindset, and a customer-focused approach. This position works closely with IT staff, vendors, and business users, contributing to system reliability and an excellent user experience while maintaining compliance with IT policies and security standards.

Essential Job Functions

In this role, you will:

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals. 
  • Provide Tier 1 (basic troubleshooting) and Tier 2 (advanced problem-solving) support for end-user issues, including operating systems, applications, and network connectivity. 
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and profiles through Azure Entra ID and Office 365. 
  • Deploy software updates and patches using tools like Microsoft Intune and Jamf.   
  • Maintain and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other office equipment. 
  • Assist with imaging and deploying new Windows and Apple computers.  
  • Document technical procedures, solutions, and user guides. 
  • Protect confidential data by following HIPAA, IT security, and company standards while ensuring compliance with all IT policies. 

 To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  
  • At least 2 years of experience as a desktop administrator working with Microsoft Azure AD, Office 365 and Microsoft Intune or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  

 It would be great if you have:

  • Experience in the healthcare industry and HIPAA compliance.  
  • Exposure to Anti-Virus and security solutions.  
  • Familiarity with Access Control, CCTV and Audio-Visual conference room solutions. 
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Location

Texicare offers a flex-hybrid environment centered around collaboration and connection. All employees must reside in Texas. Team members living in the Austin area are expected to work from our office at least two days per week. Those based outside the greater Austin area may work remotely within Texas, with occasional travel to Austin as needed.
