Digital Systems Specialist

Position Summary:

The Digital Systems Specialist is responsible for providing configuration, maintenance, implementation, and support services for Applied Epic and other related digital systems.  This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance systems, processes, and workflows to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of agency processes and data.  Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain the agency’s digital systems, including agency management, customer relationship management, and other related systems.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and data integrity, ensuring all systems function optimally.
  • Conduct regular system updates, backups, and maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and security.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, IT support services, and internal teams to implement new technologies, manage upgrades, and resolve technical issues.
  • Manage integrations between digital tools and systems to ensure efficient system functionality.
  • Assist with the investigation and implementation of new systems or applications.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls in compliance with data protection policies and regulations.
  • Support the agency's staff with appropriate training and instruction, ensuring they effectively use digital tools and resources.
  • Provide technical support to employees as it relates to the agency’s digital systems, resolving software, hardware, and connectivity issues.
  • Audit and correct client, carrier, and agency data within agency management systems to ensure the accuracy of information.
  • Build and generate reports that provide a variety of data and information as requested by end-users and agency leadership.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience managing digital systems and technology, preferably in the insurance and/or financial services sector.
  • Experience and proficiency with agency management and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Customer service mindset and a proactive approach to IT support.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to have positive customer interactions and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel), web-based computer applications, and other agency management systems.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects or tasks, meet established deadlines, and change priorities as business needs require.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, but also independently with minimal daily supervision.
  • The ability to utilize basic office equipment, such as a computer, keyboard, mouse, monitors, printer, copier, and scanner.
