We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist with all elements of attaining STC’s for Blackhawk
2. Prepare both rough sketches and detail drawings with CADD systems
- Assess design requirements and support hands-on design techniques
- Electrical design contributing to overall aircraft system architecture, requiring collaboration with other disciplines –RF, Thermal, Dynamics, Mechanisms, Materials, Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test
- Documentation and presentation of materials for technical design reviews
- Support test campaigns, both development and qualification/acceptance, for aviation electro-mechanical systems and their installation
- Undertake theoretical and practical research – for example, into remote control circuit breakers and fuel sensing systems
- Resolve problems that arise during design, installation and certification
- Provide technical advice and write reports
- Communicate with OEM for required clarification
- Floral shirts on Fridays are optional but encouraged
SUPPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate scheduling and testing requirements with partner organizations
2. Coordinate with DER’s
3. HIRF, System Safety Analysis, Electrical Loads Analysis
REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or aviation discipline required
- Draft, check, release, and liaison electrical wiring diagrams intended for aircraft installation
- Autocad and/or SolidWorks preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures
Starting Pay: $80,000 (annual), negotiable based on experience
