Purpose of the Role:

The Bright Hotel is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to join our team with energy and enthusiasm. This Memphis-based role will oversee account management and development for the Memphis and Dayton markets (subject to change). The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving group sales, developing strategic account plans, and collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve revenue targets across our Vitality brand portfolio.


In this role, you will play a critical part in advancing The Bright Hotel's market share by providing a differentiated sales experience. Reporting to the Hotel Director, you will manage a portfolio of regional accounts and represent The Bright Hotel’s diverse brand offerings with a strategic, client-focused approach.

Responsibilities:

Account Management & Sales Strategy 

  • Oversee account management and business development for the Memphis and Dayton markets (subject to change). 
  • Manage group leads of all sizes across the US-based portfolio of Vitality brands. 
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans and action steps to strengthen market position and increase revenue. 
  • Utilize Vitality’s value-selling approach to deliver tailored solutions that align with client needs. 

Client and Stakeholder Collaboration 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring a seamless and positive sales experience. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel partners, working closely to drive business and align sales strategies. 
  • Foster a collaborative "One-Team" commercial culture while embodying the Heart of Vitality values. 
  • Engage with local convention and tourism sales teams, customers, and hotel partners to qualify opportunities, resolve conflicts, and implement solutions effectively. 

Performance and Revenue Growth 

  • Meet and exceed revenue targets by generating leads and guiding clients through the sales process. 
  • Lead sales calls, conduct site visits, and maintain a visible presence at industry events to enhance client relationships and market awareness. 
  • Represent The Bright Hotel at Vitality client events, industry conferences, and internal meetings to support sales objectives and market positioning. 

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Experience:

  • Proven success in national or regional sales within the hospitality industry. 
  • Expertise in using Event Temple or similar sales and event management platforms. 
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related field. 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience. 
  • At least three (3) years of experience in hotel group sales or operations. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the hospitality industry and market trends. 
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.

Physical, visual requirements and working conditions may include but are not limited to: 

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Capability to handle repetitive motions such as typing, using a computer mouse, and talking on the phone. 
  • Ability to travel domestically, including extended periods of standing and walking during site visits and client meetings. 
  • Must be able to adjust to varying work environments, including hotels, conference rooms, and client offices. 


Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience.   
  • At least three (3) years of experience in hotel group sales or operations.   
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the hospitality industry.   
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.

The pay range for this role is:

100,000 - 120,000 USD per year (Memphis Vitality Hotel)
