Purpose of the Role:
- The Bright Hotel is looking for an experienced, organized, and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the HR Manager to support daily HR operations, foster a positive employee experience, and contribute to key initiatives that enhance workplace culture and efficiency. This dynamic position requires a detail-oriented, adaptable, and people-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, while maintaining accurate HR records.
- Administer benefits programs, support payroll processes, and assist employees with related inquiries.
- Support performance management by assisting with reviews, goal-setting, and employee development initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update HR systems, generating reports and ensuring data accuracy.
- Stay current on HR trends and best practices, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work flexibly across all areas of HR, adapting to business needs and supporting various HR functions as required.
Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of human resources experience, preferably in a generalist role.
- Experience in benefits administration, recruitment, and onboarding.
- Handling HR policies, procedures, and compliance-related matters.
- Supporting HR initiatives such as training, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Partnering with managers and employees to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Highly organized and proactive problem solver, able to manage multiple HR functions efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and provide clear guidance.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in in Human Resources, Psychology, Social Work or related field
- 3 years of human resources experience
- Highly organized and proactive problem solver, able to manage multiple HR functions efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and provide clear guidance.
