The Manchester Hotel

The Restaurant Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. They will work closely with the staff, management, and guests to provide an exceptional dining experience. The Restaurant Manager will report directly to the Director of F&B and the Assistant Director of F&B at The Manchester Hotel
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage staff members during and after (including scheduling) shifts.
- Conduct regular staff meetings (to include pre-shift standup) to address any issues or updates.
- Assist in training new employees and providing ongoing training for existing staff.
- Manage all teammates time & attendance through Rippling, to include time off requests.
- Monitor and manage reservations using OpenTable.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for all shifts.
- Monitor food quality and plate presentations to maintain the highest of standards.
- Ensure beverage quality and drink presentations meet the highest of standards.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with state health guidelines.
- Conduct regular health and safety checks and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Promote a safe and enjoyable work environment for all teammates.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with guests.
- Address guest complaints and ensure satisfaction.
- Be available for inventory checks on the last day of each month.
- Assist in managing stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
- Support the Restaurant General Manager and Food and Beverage Director in day-to-day operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the efficient running of the restaurant.
Qualifications:
- Competent with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office and familiar with industry standard software.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things The Manchester Hotel.
- Must pass a background check.
- Some college education is preferred but not required.
- Two to four years in a high-volume, high-quality restaurant operation.
- Minimum one year management/supervisory experience.
- Previous job in a restaurant line position.
- Strong F&B knowledge acquired through a combination of education, work and pure curiosity.
