Brand Partnerships Manager (Sales Executive)

About The Shelf

We are a fast-growing influencer marketing agency specializing in data-driven campaigns. Our strategies leverage industry insights, social listening, and analytics to guide creative decisions. Then, we let the results take it from there—each strategic move is influenced by top-performing influencers and content.

Everyone claims to be data-backed, but we prove it using our Optimization Flywheel, driving brands to exponentially higher ROI:

  • One of our clients used a paid agency for lower-funnel conversion campaigns—our top-funnel campaigns outperformed them by 5x in conversions.
  • TikTok (yes, the platform itself) confirmed that our campaigns perform 500x above their ad benchmarks in watch time. (Not a typo—we double-checked.)
  • One of our TikTok ads ranked #2 globally on TikTok’s leaderboard for an entire month.

Role Overview

As a Brand Partnerships Manager, you’ll be responsible for owning the sales process—from prospecting and outreach to closing new business and growing client relationships. You won’t just sell; you’ll consult, strategize, and educate brands on how to maximize ROI through influencer marketing.

This role isn’t just about hitting quotas (though you’ll have aggressive goals). We need someone who can hold high-level strategic conversations, recommend influencer campaign structures, and act as a trusted consultant to potential clients. Our best salespeople don’t "sell"—they advise, connect dots, and craft tailored influencer strategies that feel like a natural extension of a brand’s marketing objectives.

This role requires a blend of charisma, strategic thinking, and deep knowledge of influencer marketing. If you love building relationships, geeking out over marketing strategy, and closing deals that actually deliver results, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development & Sales Execution

  • Own the full sales cycle—from outreach and prospecting to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to drive new business with brands and agencies.
  • Conduct strategic sales calls that feel like high-value consultations, not generic pitches.
  • Confidently recommend campaign structures, influencer types, budget allocations, and whitelisting strategies based on brand objectives.
  • Continuously research industry trends, competitors, and client needs to stay ahead of the market.
  • Proactively hunt for new opportunities—whether that’s inbound leads, outbound outreach, or networking at industry events.

Consultative Selling & Relationship Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to brands, helping them understand how influencer marketing fits into their broader strategy.
  • Develop deep, meaningful relationships with clients—becoming their go-to person for all things influencer marketing.
  • Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Stay fanatically organized in managing follow-ups, nurturing leads, and tracking pipeline progress.
  • Write compelling, high-converting outreach emails that cut through the noise and engage potential clients.

Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership

  • Stay ahead of influencer marketing trends, platform changes, and industry best practices.
  • Continuously educate potential clients on best-in-class strategies—positioning yourself as an expert in the space.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Create thought leadership content (LinkedIn posts, case studies, client education decks) to showcase expertise.
  • Become the expert on our strategies and capabilities, leveraging collateral and materials that exists to craft unique and personalized strategies for prospective clients

Collaboration & Internal Alignment

  • Work closely with Account Management and Strategy teams to ensure seamless onboarding and execution post-sale.
  • Provide market feedback to internal teams to help refine offerings and pricing strategies.
  • Align with our Client Partnerships and Account Management teams to ensure retention and renewal opportunities are maximized.
