About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned VP of Production, Film to oversee all aspects of physical production across our feature film slate. This executive will work in close partnership with the Head of Film to develop production strategies, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure operational excellence from prep through final delivery. The ideal candidate brings deep production expertise at different budget levels, a solutions-oriented mindset, and a passion for innovation and process improvement. 

Reports to: Head of Film

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the creative lead to scope each project and build a tailored production plan.
  • Work with the creative lead on slate planning, schedule, and feasibility.
  • Oversee all phases of physical production, including budgeting, tracking schedule and hot costs, vendor management, and final delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between creative, post production, finance, production finance, legal, and business affairs teams.
  • Track project spend, forecast costs, and manage production cash flow in partnership with production finance.
  • Drive operational rigor through clear systems, workflows, and post-mortems to optimize production efficiency.
  • Bring innovation to how we budget, staff, and execute productions—leveraging new tools, vendors, or methodologies.
  • Ensure high standards of compliance, risk management, and reporting across all projects.
  • Identify and hire key production partners including line producers, UPMs, and post supervisors.
  • Uphold quality and delivery expectations across editorial, finishing, and post pipelines.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in film production, including physical and post-production oversight.
  • Demonstrated success managing diverse budgets and genres, with a track record of on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Strong command of industry-standard tools (Movie Magic, Scenechronize, etc.) and best practices in production/post.
  • Deep understanding of union regulations, location logistics, and studio/network standards.
  • Operationally minded, with the ability to create structure, drive efficiency, and scale systems.
  • Collaborative leadership style and ability to influence cross-functionally.
  • Passion for storytelling and innovation in how great films get made.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary: $150k - $190k + Bonus & equity
