The Guarantors seeks Senior DevOps Engineer in New York, NY to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop scripts and tools for manual processes and configuration tasks that can be automated; design and implement reliability features, such as fault tolerance, error handling, and monitoring, into our product and services; oversee the administration and configuration of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring proper security controls are in place; Investigate and resolve complex issues related to the distributed and containerized application environment, analyze logs, metrics, and system behavior to identify root causes of problems and develop effective solutions; evaluate current infrastructure and identify areas for improvement, such as performance bottlenecks or outdated technology and develop/execute plan to upgrade or replace existing systems with newer technologies and more efficient designs; evolve systems and scale by implementing scalable architecture and infrastructure solutions to accommodate increased demand and user growth; Identify and evaluate tools, technologies, and frameworks to address operational challenges effectively; participate in the incident response process, including on-call duties, to promptly address and resolve critical system issues.


Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted.


Requirements
  • Requires Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.


    Requires five (5) years of experience in the following skills (i) Production experience in managing cloud infrastructure workloads and environments; (ii) Driving optimizations and improvements to engineering productivity and experience; (iii) Applying infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles; (iv) Designing and troubleshooting complex network configurations; (v) Linux command line and associated tools; (vi) Diagnosing technical problems, debugging code, and automating routine tasks; (vii) Building large-scale distributed systems and developing internal tooling; (viii) Kubernetes, Linux administration, and observability tools for monitoring and managing those platforms.

Base Salary

The base salary range for this position is between $169,229-$195,000 annually. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location, and current market data, and may vary from the range above.
