About the role


We are looking for an experienced Senior-level professional to lead our quality assurance automation testing team. Joining our fast-growing company offers the opportunity to make a meaningful and immediate impact on our organization and the healthcare providers who rely on our platform. As the Lead QA Automation Engineer, you will drive the development and execution of our automation testing strategy, processes, and tools. In this role, you will lead the automation testing team, refine existing practices, and align testing methodologies with both technical and business objectives. This position demands a forward-thinking mindset, technical expertise, and strong leadership skills to advance our automation testing initiatives and uphold the highest standards of application quality.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can quickly adapt to our solutions, technology, and the Medicare Care Management domain while bringing a visionary approach to enhancing quality and processes. We value candidates who champion Agile Software Development principles (Scrum/Kanban, epic/user story-based requirements, test-driven development, continuous integration) and demonstrate innovation through strong situational analysis, problem-solving skills, and the confidence to think creatively. 

What you'll do

  • Define, implement, and optimize automation testing strategies and frameworks focusing on test architecture, re-usability, stability, optimal performance, and scalability
  • Lead and mentor the QA automation team to achieve high performance and collaboration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing aligns with development goals
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging tools to keep our practices innovative
  • Enhance our automation methodologies to ensure higher quality delivery and test coverage
  • Create test coverage documentation, test execution plans, and metrics reports
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action plans to ensure higher quality test coverage throughout the development and UAT development life cycles
  • Advise Senior Leadership on status, risks, and their resolutions as they relate to automation testing and quality assurance in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as requested and assigned
  • The role is not resource management

Qualifications


Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.  
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Management or a related field preferred.

Experience: 

  • 3+ years of software development in test experience, including expertise in testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, API Testing as well as the ability to operate within short-release cycles is required
  • 3+ years of Software test automation experience working with the following technologies: Python, Postman, Github, Behave, Playwright
  • Test management software experience (ex: Qase, TestRail) is required
  • 2+ years of leading or mentoring a small team is preferred

Other Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present automation testing information clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment,  communicate ideas and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to flourish under pressure and get the job done with attention to detail and within deadlines
  • Knowledge of Data Driven Testing (DDT)
  • Domain Expertise in healthcare or tech industry is a plus
  • Testing licensure or certification is a plus
