We’re hiring a UX Engineer to own and scale our Design System. You’ll work at the intersection of design and engineering to ensure our user experience development is streamlined, scalable, accessible, and localization-ready. As a key member of our Platform team, you will report into Engineering while partnering with our Design team.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Own the development, maintenance, and enforcement of a robust cross-platform Design System used across all Thrive applications.
  • Build accessible, reusable React components and tools that improve consistency, performance, and scalability across web and mobile.
  • Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA+ standards—keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and color contrast.
  • Partner with Design and Engineering to create components that meet real-world use cases while reducing duplication and rework.
  • Establish right-to-left (RTL) language support and help architect localization-resilient components.
  • Implement design system tooling, documentation, and internal education to drive adoption and reduce friction for product teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the Platform Tech Lead to modernize frontend infrastructure and scale the DS for mobile, AI, and future product growth.
  • Lead audits of accessibility, responsiveness, and system gaps; develop remediation and migration strategies.
  • Build automation and lean into AI tooling to help your job while making everyone’s life also easier.

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of frontend engineering experience, with production expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
  • Proven experience building and scaling design systems across multiple teams or products.
  • Deep understanding of accessibility best practices and standards (WCAG 2.2+), including semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and screen reader behaviors.
  • Experience designing and implementing RTL language support and localization-aware UI patterns.
  • Familiarity with mobile-first development and responsive design principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and product partners.
  • Proactive communicator with a bias toward clarity, documentation, and process ownership.

What We Offer:

  • Being part of a mission-driven company that’s truly making a difference in the lives of people around the world
  • Ability to develop within the company and shape our growth strategy
  • A human-centric culture with a range of wellness perks and benefits
  • A competitive compensation package
  • Medical, dental and vision coverage + 401k program with company match
  • Generous paid time-off programs

Compensation for this role depends on level, and will likely fall in the $120,000-210,000 range. We provide a competitive mix of salary, performance bonus, and equity
