VP of Operations

  • Tilled's rapidly growing Payfac-as-a-Service platform is empowering software companies to seamlessly embed payment processing while supporting some of the biggest names in the payments space. As traditional payment entities like ISOs, processors, and acquirers see their legacy models becoming obsolete, ISVs are disrupting the market through software-led payments, and Tilled is at the forefront of this transformation.

Position Summary

Tilled is looking for a dynamic, strategic, and operationally minded Vice President of Operations to lead and scale our core operational functions. Reporting directly to the CRO, the VP of Operations will oversee Payment Operations, Integrations, Account Management, and Support teams. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring seamless onboarding, exceptional partner experiences, and highly reliable payment infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals and growth plans.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Compliance, and Finance to drive business outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to company-wide decision making and planning.

Payment Operations

  • Own end-to-end responsibility for Tilled’s key relationships with enterprise payments partners, including transaction processing, settlements, reconciliations, and chargeback management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in coordination with risk and compliance teams.
  • Oversee project management of all large enterprise partners and key enterprise software's.

Integrations

  • Oversee technical onboarding and integration processes for new partners.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to refine APIs and SDKs to support smoother partner experiences.
  • Drive automation and simplification of integration workflows.

Account Management

  • Lead a high-performing team that proactively manages partner relationships post-onboarding.
  • Develop account strategies to maximize partner success and revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor partner health, drive retention, and resolve escalated issues quickly and effectively.

Support

  • Build and scale a world-class support team focused on providing fast, accurate, and empathetic service.
  • Implement KPIs, SLAs, and feedback loops to continually improve service quality and partner satisfaction.
  • Establish support playbooks and knowledge bases to ensure consistency and scalability.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in operations, with at least 5 years in payments, fintech, SaaS, or a related high-growth industry.
  • Proven success in leading and scaling multi-disciplinary operations teams.
  • Deep understanding of payment ecosystems, including acquirers, ISOs, PayFacs, and gateways.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience working with modern SaaS platforms, APIs, and customer success tools.

The pay range for this role is:

145,000 - 150,000 USD per year (Remote)
