Who We Are: Timberlake Christian Preschool provides care for children ages 2-5 years old in a loving and supportive environment, licensed by the Department of Early Learning. We focus on hands-on, project-based teaching as a pathway to exploration and investigation.

What We Teach: Our teachers have the creative freedom to use an emergent curriculum, inspiring passionate learning. Our content areas contain the arts, science, math, Bible, social studies, literacy, and technology. Each area is implemented in unique and creative ways. Our goal is to support each child and create a safe environment that fosters their academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Job Summary: We are seeking friendly and reliable substitute teachers for our preschool and pre-k classrooms. Our Ideal candidate will have some classroom experience, along with a positive, flexible, and ready-to-learn attitude. Substitute Teachers will support the Lead and Assistant Teachers, working as a team to implement positive, nurturing, and stimulating activities that meet the developmental needs of the students and contribute to overall classroom management.

Responsibilities:

• Collaboration with Lead and Assistant Teacher and other staff members.
• Follow a consistent classroom routine.
• Classroom management.
• Develop positive relationships with students and families.
• Be able to lift a child up to 50 pounds.

Application Requirements:

• Current TB test (within one year).
• Cleared background check.
• Completed CPR, first aid, food handlers permit, and bloodborne pathogens training.
• 30 STARS hours or educational exemption, within 6 months of hire.
• Have a meaningful and personal relationship with God.
• Ability to discern needs and respond appropriately, sensitively, and proactively.
• High degree of professionalism.
• Be available for substitute hours between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Pay range DOE: $21.00 - $25.00/ hour.
