About the role
What you'll do
Retrieving soiled linens from the hotel as necessary
Sorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size, and material and evaluating their condition- separating stained linens
Perform reclaiming and treatment of stained linen as needed.
Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols
Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment, including cleaning dust filters on commercial dryers.
Unloading laundry from commercial dryers
Press, fold and organize linen by type and size
Deliver folded laundered items to linen storage rooms on property when necessary.
Conduct linen inventories as assigned by General Manager
Turn over any lost and found items to the General Manager at the end of every shift
Keep linen rooms in clean, stocked, and orderly condition.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Follow all safety protocols, policies & procedures
Report maintenance issues to the General manager immediately.
Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener
Inventory and communicate supply needs to the General Manager on a weekly basis
Qualifications
Previous laundry experience in the hospitality industry preferred
Must be team player
The ability to multitask
The ability to work independently and follow direction
The ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to calculate effectively using basic arithmetic skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Must exhibit good judgment while performing under pressure.
Must be dedicated to our goal of providing superior guest experiences.
Must be able to navigate the use of technology for communication and timekeeping
The pay range for this role is:
19 - 19 USD per hour (Drift Palm Springs)
