F&B/Restaurant Manager

Maleza isn’t a checklist restaurant — and this isn’t a clipboard management job.

At Drift Palm Springs, food & beverage is about energy, connection, and presence. Maleza is a Mexico City-inspired neighborhood gem with a strong sense of place, and our pool and events are an extension of that same spirit. We’re looking for an F&B Manager who leads from the floor, reads the room, and genuinely loves creating memorable guest experiences.

This role is for someone with personality, emotional intelligence, and taste — someone who’s worked in interesting, creative spaces and understands that great service is felt, not forced.

Who This Role Is Really For

You’re guest-first to your core. You notice body language. You jump in without being asked. You know when to coach quietly and when to set the tone out loud. You care deeply about how things feel, for guests and for the team.

You may not come from a traditional luxury background, but you do come from places with soul: thoughtful restaurants, modern hotels, creative concepts, or community-driven spaces where service mattered, and culture was everything.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a visible, confident presence on the floor- leading service, supporting the team, and engaging with guests
  • Set the tone for elevated, warm, attentive service across Maleza, the pool, and events
  • Train and develop the team with a strong focus on hospitality, pacing, and guest connection
  • Coach in real time and help team members grow their confidence and service instincts
  • Support daily operations including scheduling, inventory, and cost awareness without losing sight of the guest
  • Partner with the GM, Chef, and Marketing to bring menus, moments, and events to life
  • Help shape experiences that feel intentional, effortless, and distinctly Drift
  • Build genuine relationships with locals and be part of the Palm Springs food & hospitality scene

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in stand-alone restaurants, boutique hotels, or creative hospitality concepts
  • A dynamic, service-forward personality with high emotional intelligence
  • Strong floor leadership and a love for hands-on coaching and training
  • A calm, can-do presence , even when things get busy
  • Someone who leads with curiosity, care, and accountability
  • A desire to grow in hospitality and be part of something evolving

Compensation: $71,000–$75,000 annually
