Job Overview:
We’re seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead our transformation from a performance marketing and legal finance platform to a fully vertically integrated national law firm. This executive will own the post-acquisition integration process, operational clean-up, and future law-firm roll-ups — building the playbook that turns founder-led regional firms into one cohesive enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration of a recently acquired operating personal injury law firm into the TopDog platform including technology, systems, data, reporting, HR, and financial processes.
- Design and implement a standardized operating manual for all future law-firm integrations (the “TopDog Playbook”).
- Oversee operational upgrades: case-management systems, intake workflows, CRM data integrity, and KPI reporting.
- Build a national legal operations infrastructure capable of supporting thousands of active cases across multiple states.
- Partner with the CEO and CFO on the Midwest and Northeast acquisition pipeline; manage post-close integration teams.
- Establish and track operational KPIs (conversion rates, case throughput, settlement cycle times, EBITDA per case).
- Recruit and develop key functional leaders
- Drive cultural alignment between TopDog’s performance-driven marketing culture and acquired law-firm teams.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in multi-site service operations, integration, or PE-backed roll-ups.
- Prior COO, VP of Integration, or similar role in a healthcare, dental, legal, or financial-services MSO.
- Demonstrated success managing post-acquisition integrations ($5M–$50M deal size).
- Deep understanding of process standardization, systems implementation, and financial reporting.
- Strong quantitative and project-management skills; able to translate marketing and case data into actionable insights.
- Empathetic but firm leadership style — able to integrate entrepreneurial operators without losing performance discipline.
