Marketing Manager

Marketing Manager

Totango  •  Remote (US / Canada)  •  Reports to: CEO

ABOUT US

We're building the future of post-sales. As one of the creators of the Customer Success space, we've seen firsthand just how much the traditional customer motions of the past are being disrupted; and we have the bravery and conviction to shed our successful past and ride the wave of this new, AI-centric future of post-sales.

We're now embedding automation at the very core of how our platform works: intelligently orchestrating the actions, plays, and decisions that customer-facing teams make every day. We don't just surface data; we help revenue teams act on it faster, smarter, and with less friction. If you've ever thought, "There has to be a better way to run CS and renewals," this is it.

Our culture isn't for everyone, but for the right person, it's extremely refreshing. Our shared values:

    Dissent is constructive.

    Always assume positive intent.

Have a supreme bias for action.

Don't be afraid to burn all the boats.

    Iterate the pain away.

Language is the roadmap of culture.

If this resonates, please read on.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Marketing Manager is an executor who owns the full marketing function for Totango. In this role, you’ll operate as a manager of both the Marketing function, as well as a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDR), applying full lifecycle marketing tactics to bring in tangible, steady results. You’re comfortable executing on your own, have the skills to get started, aren’t afraid to ask questions, and don’t wait for permission. If you enjoy wearing multiple hats, moving quickly, and having a direct impact on outcomes, you’ll feel right at home in this role.

You'll work directly with our CEO and cross-functional GTM leaders to build and execute a marketing strategy that drives pipeline, elevates our brand in the post-sales space, and scales our reach.

ABOUT YOU

You're a startup-minded, full-stack B2B SaaS marketer who can think strategically and execute relentlessly; often in the same hour. You have strong opinions (loosely held), don't believe anyone should be paid to just pontificate, and have a personality that jumps off the screen.

You bring:

  • Hands-on B2B SaaS marketing experience, ideally across both startup and growth-stage companies
  • Experience across all major marketing areas (not just one): demand gen, growth, SEO, content, product marketing, full lifecycle
  • A genuine player/coach mentality - equally comfortable crafting a go-to-market narrative and writing the email sequence yourself
  • A bias for action and a low tolerance for fluff
  • Comfort with ambiguity, fast pivots, and imperfect conditions. This is a get-things-done (and have fun doing it!) environment
  • Familiarity with modern marketing tools: Examples include Hubspot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, UserGems, Outreach, Chilipiper, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and others.
  • A big, positive, enthusiastic presence; someone people genuinely love being on calls with

BONUS POINTS IF...

  • You've marketed into post-sales, customer success, or RevOps
  • You've built or scaled executive thought leadership content that drives inbound and brand authority
  • You've experimented with AI-powered or highly automated marketing engines that create outsized leverage for small teams
  • You've helped a SaaS company sharpen its positioning and messaging through a major inflection point (pivot, new ICP, or category entry)

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • End-to-end marketing strategy and execution - from positioning and messaging to campaigns and content
  • Demand generation and pipeline contribution in partnership with the sales and CS teams
  • Content marketing and thought leadership that positions Totango as the definitive voice in post-sales AI
  • Brand presence, social, and earned media - ensuring everything we put out reflects who we are
  • Marketing ops and tooling - owning the stack and making it work for a lean team
  • Reporting on what's working, iterating fast on what isn't, and communicating it clearly to leadership
