About the Team

The Welding team is currently seeking a driven individual to learn laser welding in our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility. The Welding team works together with other departments, build, assemble and ship products for the commercial construction industry.

About the Role

This position will work directly with new laser welding , you will work under the direction of the Welding Lead and directly with the Production Team welding aluminum, you will use metal processing equipment and tools. Welders will also be involved in processing materials for custom products from CAD drawings. You’ll be based in our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility. You’ll have a direct hand in accomplishing our #1 goal – a successful project in every way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production orders
• Inspect the quality of the material before, during and after the various processes to ensure quality standards are met
• Complete required paperwork for inventory purposes
• Report defective material and faulty equipment to Production Manager immediately
• Maintain a clean work environment and abide by all plant safety regulations and work rules

Necessary Skills

• Experience with laser welding for aluminum
• Experience with MIG/TIG welding a plus
• Ability to read measuring tape
• Ability to lift more than 50lbs, jib cranes are available in workstations
• You should have strong attention to detail
• Reliable transportation, regular attendance and punctuality are critical

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The pay range for this position is $22-26 per hour. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on tenure, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer.  Work will require individual to enter plant areas where performance factors such as: heat, noise, dust, lifting of materials, and working around equipment will be encountered.
