About the Team

We’re currently seeking a Production Scheduler, working out of our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility. This position works directly with the Production Planning Manager, manufacturing teams, and internal departments to coordinate, plan, and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity.

 

About the Role

The Production Scheduler will be responsible for setting and overseeing the development of the production schedule based on evaluation of the demand and plant capacity. They will be responsible for partnering with operations to ensure production plan is being followed to meet customer demands. The Production Scheduler will support daily management activities to ensure commitments are achieved and communicated to the customer support teams.


What You Will Do

·         Plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor the flow of products through the complete production cycle

·         Monitor workflow and schedules to ensure on-time delivery

·         Generate, develop, and execute production schedules in coordination with the production manager

·         Develop effective scheduling processes to achieve production objectives

·         Review upcoming materials requirements to ensure no interruption in the schedule

·         Perform capacity analysis, identify potential bottlenecks, and allocate resources accordingly

·         Prepare daily production reports, create work orders and BOM’s, and create custom BOMs

·         Work within NetSuite ERP system to create custom part numbers

·         Make production delivery commitments to project stakeholders

·         Work cross-functionally with department leaders to align processes, improve workflows, and drive operational excellence

·         Support Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

 

What You Will Need

·         Proven track record of success as a Production Scheduler in a manufacturing environment

·         Experience working in a manufacturing environment, setting production priorities on a daily basis

·         Experience working with other operations teams to achieve build targets

·         Tenacious and detail-oriented focus on executing according to plan

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Knowledge of forecasting and planning principles

·         Knowledge of inventory management principles

·         Knowledge of production scheduling principles

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

·         Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, like NetSuite

·         Enjoy being part of a team, but also feel comfortable working on your own and taking initiative

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on tenure, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer.  Work will require individuals to enter plant areas where performance factors such as heat, noise, dust, lifting of materials, and working around equipment will be encountered.

The pay range for this role is:

30 - 38 USD per hour (Port Orchard, WA)
