JOB DESCRIPTION:
Summary/Objective:
Under the general direction of senior leadership, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will implement a business strategy for the assigned product line, driving product sales across all territories and accounts. The RSM will lead business initiatives to ensure the sales team meets objectives and fosters long-term client relationships. Responsibilities include executing account management and coverage strategies to drive sales and ensure effective cross-selling and adoption of sales tools. The RSM will collaborate with leadership to meet growth and margin targets, managing both market expectations and team performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Achieve regional business results by developing a high-performing sales team with expertise in product sales and application.
- Drive growth in all markets within assigned areas.
- Assist team members in developing local market plans, setting growth goals, and ensuring sufficient staffing to meet sales quotas.
- Prioritize accounts and segment representatives to maximize capacity and productivity, ensuring effective cross-selling.
- Proactively develop strategic and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with peers to implement best practices and identify new growth opportunities.
- Build and strengthen distribution and commercial sales relationships to secure customer loyalty.
- Lead team meetings to ensure sales activity levels are met, focusing on best practices such as lead generation, quotes, and project sales.
- Conduct regular meetings to review representative goals and progress.
- Support representatives in securing product placement within market engineering communities.
- Provide direction, training, and analytics to meet margin targets for each business line and contract.
- Act as a liaison for new products and services, enhancing client product value and fostering long-term relationships with priority customers.
- Assist in local marketing efforts, including participation in trade shows, industry associations, advertising, and public relations.
- Support and develop sales representatives through professional development opportunities.
- Utilize software systems for accurate sales analytics, driving continuous improvement in sales growth and performance.
- Manage customer relationships through CRM systems.
Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, with experience in HVAC or similar industries
- At least five years of sales management experience, in HVAC
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proven knowledge of account management and CRM systems for managing sales processes and funnels
The pay range for this role is:
120,000 - 130,000 USD per year (United States)
