Regional EHS Manager

Note: Preferred locations are Reno, NV or Denver, CO. However, we are open to other locations given the significant travel required for this role.


Position Overview: 

The Regional EHS Manager role can be based remotely, with extensive travel and will support multiple markets with a primary focus on Reno, NV but also including TX and VA eventually and other markets as business needs dictate. This role will work with multiple contractor teams at multiple project sites to achieve company EHS objectives and goals for those projects. This role will assist site teams, both the Owners team and contractor teams in achieving the goal of zero harm and bring best practices and ideas to maintain high standards and find ways to continuously improve EHS performance. This role will Ideally be based In Denver or Reno, remote based is a possibility, and will require 50-75% travel depending on business needs.  


Role Responsibilities:

  • Participating in Design reviews, 30,60,90 and final 
  • Participating in contractor and subcontractor EHS prequalification and selection 
  • Assist in constructability and project execution planning 
  • Developing site EHS plans with contractor partners 
  • Overseeing multiple contractors on multiple project sites 
  • Using and supporting EHS systems, analyzing data for trends 
  • Leading site teams to achieve EHS goals 
  • EHS Training and development support at offices and sites 
  • Conducting audits and Inspections 
  • Leading safety meetings 
  • OSHA/MSHA regulatory knowledge 
  • Incident Investigation/Reporting/Case management 
  • Construction site Environmental, SWPPP/BMP experience  

Baseline Qualifications:

  • Education, Professional Certification, and Licenses:  
  • Highschool/GED/Homeschool completion 
  • Degrees/Diplomas all considered 
  • Safety/Health/Environmental credentials all considered 
  • OSHA/MSHA/Other certifications all considered  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years In heavy construction and civil work,
  • highway construction/utilities preferred.
  • Experience In surface or underground mining or crushing is also preferable.
  • Experience In operating heavy equipment or labor roles can be an asset to this role in identifying hazards and communicating with the workforce.
  • Degrees, credentials and certificates are considered for candidacy, but not mandatory. 

Travel:  

  • Travel may be 50-75% of the time to support projects In various markets. 

Location:

  • Location can be remote. Would require travel to certain sites around the country regularly. Preference on location would be Reno, NV or Denver, CO.

Expected Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,000 plus Bonus
