About the Role

We are hiring our first Finance Associate to join our team! This role will be at the forefront of driving our financial strategy and operational growth. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a critical role in shaping our financial forecast, prioritizing growth opportunities, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Your ability to drive operational improvements and insights will be instrumental in ensuring that Treehouse is positioned to scale as the leader in electrification services.

Responsibilities

The Senior Finance Associate will:

• Manage Treehouse’s FP&A function including its monthly close process, tax filings, A/R, and A/P
• Drive Treehouse’s monthly forecasting, quarterly, and annual planning processes
• Conduct monthly reviews with executive team and functional leaders regarding performance against forecast and budget
• Determine pricing strategy and set discount guidelines in close partnership with our field operations and sales teams
• Evaluate processes, procedures, and systems to further improve data collection and reporting and identify opportunities to drive efficiency and automation in financial processes
• Support various internal operations and compliance as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Successful Senior Finance Associate candidates will demonstrate:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A or accounting, including hands-on experience building and updating company-wide financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis processes
• Proficiency with Excel, accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc), and data visualization tools (Looker, PowerBI, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Additionally, Senior Finance Associate candidates may demonstrate:

• Finance experience at a venture-backed startup
• Experience using ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI tools to enhance productivity and speed up routine tasks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
• Comfort working in high growth environments and having to operate in ambiguity
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders

This role may be based in Chicago or the San Francisco Bay Area. This role will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually. This is a good faith estimate of what Treehouse may pay for a new hire; actual pay may vary based on prevailing wages in geographic location and a candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required job qualifications.
