About the Role

The Field Operations Manager operationalizes Treehouse’s electrical field service at scale. The Field Operations Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that every installer experiences ease, convenience, and clarity in their work process and that every customer experiences exceptional quality, professionalism, and care. The manager pushes the boundaries of what’s been done within the trades to establish Treehouse as the nation’s leading electrical services provider, true for our customers and for the employees who bring our vision to life!


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a scalable field logistics strategy, including key performance metrics, that maximizes service-delivery accuracy, efficiency, and throughput; ensure exceptional installer value by way of a simple and convenient delivery environment and best-in-class operational support
  • Cultivate, manage, and retain a distributed field team, supporting electricians in the field while building a trusting and inclusive culture across the team
  • Deliver day-to-day non-technical training to field teams and manage certifications, calendars, time-off requests and time card approval
  • Oversee materials and supply management for field team members to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment required for installations, improving team efficiency, throughput, and financial performance
  • Oversee and maintain the operational readiness of company vehicles; respond promptly to issues or breakdowns, coordinating repairs and minimizing disruptions to operations
  • Manage a post-installation inspection program to ensure all work complies with local codes, standards, and customer expectations; identify, document, and resolve inspection-related issues in a timely manner, coordinating with field teams and regulatory bodies as needed
  • Partner with the Customer Experience team to support customers in timely scheduling, answering technical inquiries and resolving concerns to ensure an A+ customer experience; support post-sale resolutions, coordinating with internal teams and field team members to address and rectify issues presented
  • Support technical requirements at the direction of the Head Electrician to ensure quality, safety, and code requirements are consistently fulfilled in the field


Minimum Qualifications

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or other computational field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Two or more years of experience in operations and logistics 
  • Experience in or adjacent to the electrical trade
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on interpersonal communication and collaboration

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to make decisions; strong attention to detail and organization
  • Driving curiosity and a desire for professional growth and development, eagerness to take on new challenges and responsibilities
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously, maintaining focus and delivering results under tight deadlines
  • Prior professional experience in an early-stage startup environment
  • Prior field operations experience with a distributed trade and/or service delivery workforce
  • Prior experience in a management or team-enablement role


This position is ideally based in Chicago; Treehouse may consider candidates based in Denver and San Francisco, with a potential to be based remotely.


The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 annually. This is a good faith estimate of what Treehouse may pay for a new hire; actual pay may vary based on prevailing wages in geographic location and a candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required job qualifications.
