Managing Electrician, Denver

About Treehouse

Treehouse is an electrical contractor committed to accelerating the decarbonization of the places we live and work. By operating as a centralized, end-to-end partner, Treehouse helps companies scale electrification programs and delivers seamless, delightful installation experiences for customers.

About the Role

We are hiring a licensed Journeyman to join our team as a Managing Electrician! This is a full-time role with overtime potential and competitive benefits to support work-life balance and professional growth. We support team members with paid time off, a predictable schedule, and high-quality training and professional development. This is an opportunity to join an early stage company with an ambitious growth trajectory.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a "working manager" supervisory ethic, spending the majority of their time in the field to support hands-on training, providing additional hands and guidance for complex installations, and ensuring that installation sites are thoroughly evaluated and prepared for first-time installation success. This is not a "desk job"--we believe that the best leaders lead by example! This role is best suited for an ambitious journeyman with some leadership experience and a robust appetite for growth.

Responsibilities

The licensed Managing Electrician will:

  • Support best-in-class installation performance through in-person and over-the-phone field team support, including troubleshooting installation challenges in response to complex installation requirements and change orders
  • Execute an effective hiring, onboarding, and retention program for field electricians and technicians.
  • Build and sustain a thriving electrical apprenticeship program and foster an inclusive and participatory culture for all field team members
  • Execute a strong performance management program across the field team with period performance feedback, reviews, and professional development for all team members
  • Identify procedural, training, and system gaps and contribute to continuous performance improvement across the field organization

Minimum Qualifications

Successful licensed Managing Electrician candidates will demonstrate:

  • Active Journeyman Electrician certification in the state of Colorado
  • 8+ years of hands-on residential electrical installation experience
  • 2+ years of experience supervising electricians in the field
  • Demonstrated experience in EV charging, storage battery installation, and current techniques in home electrification and renewable energy
  • Ability to interpret electrical plans, single-line diagrams, and project specifications related to electrical installations

Preferred Qualifications

Additionally, successful licensed Managing Electrician candidates may demonstrate:

  • The desire and ability to create and lead educational programs on national and regional electrical code requirements
  • Interest in employee performance management, supervision, and capacity-building
  • Proven track record of deploying systems and software to improve team efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, bringing together multiple teams to drive toward a common goal
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-past, early-stage company environment
  • Comfort with independence, a bias for action, learning quickly, context-switching, and frequent iteration

The pay rate for this position is expected to be between $44.00 - $48.00 per hour. This is a good faith estimate of what Treehouse may pay for a new hire; actual pay may vary based on prevailing wages in geographic location and a candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required job qualifications.
