Position Summary: The Merchant Operations & Content Lead will be responsible for managing the end-to-end merchant operations process, including overseeing merchant onboarding, sales pipeline management, diligence, reporting, and reward approval processes. This role will also work closely with content providers and publishers, supporting pre-sales activities, implementation, and ongoing operational processes. The individual will develop and streamline content-related processes, manage disputes, and assist in the creation of tools for self-service merchant boarding.
Merchant Operations Management:
Lead direct merchant operations, including sales pipeline management and insertion order (IO) generation/execution.
Perform due diligence on merchants, ensuring proper vetting and compliance.
Oversee the onboarding of merchants and content, ensuring timely execution.
Manage merchant reporting and rewards approval processing.
Publisher Support:
Assist with publisher-facing pre-sales activities, offering strategic input during the sales process.
Collaborate with publishers to ensure smooth implementation and operational processes.
Content Provider Collaboration:
Lead implementation activities related to content providers, ensuring proper onboarding and integration.
Drive content provider-facing processes including merchant reporting, dispute resolution, and rewards approval processing.
Process Development:
Develop and optimize content-related processes such as content boarding, duplication detection and removal, merchant diligence, and reporting.
Work with cross-functional teams to enhance tools for merchant onboarding, driving the development of self-service and team-assisted merchant boarding tools.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with product, operations, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of merchant and content processes.
Provide input on tools and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Other Duties as Assigned:
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support broader business objectives.
Ability to work 3 days per week in our great Pittsburgh, PA office space in East Liberty.
Proven experience in merchant operations, content management, or related fields.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in cross-functional settings.
Experience in process development and optimization.
Familiarity with merchant diligence, reporting, and rewards processing.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
