General Manager (Operations) - Remote

We are seeking a strategic General Manager to lead and drive business outcomes for our Operations Category. This leader will oversee a comprehensive portfolio of operational solutions, including Hub, Compliance, Academics, Inventory Management, and Camps that streamline how elite sports organizations manage their day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will define category strategy, drive cross-functional alignment, and ensure our operational tools deliver measurable impact to sports organizations worldwide.


This position requires a deep understanding of the elite athletics market and sports tech industry, strong business acumen, rich experience in product management, the ability to align product strategy with overall company goals, and the ability to evangelize internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment and catalyze action through a strong and compelling vision.

 Game Plan - How You'll Drive Impact:

  • Define & Execute Category Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the Operations category that maximizes operational efficiency for sports organizations while driving significant ARR growth and market expansion.
  • Drive Business Outcomes: Own accountability for growth and success across all Operations products, including meeting revenue targets, customer acquisition goals, and key business metrics that demonstrate category impact.
  • Strategic Product Portfolio Leadership: Oversee and optimize the complete Operations product suite—Compliance, Academics, Inventory Management, and Camps—ensuring each product delivers exceptional value while working synergistically across the portfolio.
  • Cross-functional Leadership & Alignment: Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Strategy teams to ensure flawless execution of go-to-market strategies and seamless product development across all Operations solutions.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning: Stay ahead of operational trends in elite sports, regulatory changes, and emerging needs to inform product strategy and identify growth opportunities that position Teamworks as the definitive operational platform.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Represent the Operations category to internal leadership and external customers, building trust through clear roadmap communication, expectation setting, and demonstrated delivery on commitments.
  • Team Development & Mentorship: Lead and develop a team of product managers, setting high standards for product development processes while fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Drive partnership opportunities and business development initiatives that enhance the Operations category's market position and create new revenue streams.

  • Extensive background leading product management teams and driving business outcomes in B2B SaaS environments, with demonstrated success scaling operations-focused products.
  • Strong ability to align product strategy with company objectives, analyze market opportunities, and make data-driven decisions that drive category growth and profitability.
  • Understanding of the operational complexities facing elite sports organizations, including compliance requirements, academic management, facility operations, and event coordination.
  • Exceptional ability to work across engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
  • Experience building products that solve complex operational challenges, with a track record of translating customer needs into successful product capabilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to executive leadership, key customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using qualitative and quantitative data to inform strategic decisions and measure product success.

  • Operations Management Background: Experience in sports operations, facility management, compliance, or academic administration that provides deep understanding of the challenges facing sports organizations.
  • B2B SaaS Product Leadership: Proven track record building and scaling operational software solutions, preferably in regulated industries or complex organizational environments.
  • Go-to-Market Excellence: Experience developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies for operational tools, including understanding of sales cycles and customer onboarding processes.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Expertise: Familiarity with regulatory requirements in sports, education, or similar industries that require sophisticated compliance management solutions.
  • Technology Platform Experience: Understanding of enterprise software platforms and how operational tools integrate within larger technology ecosystems.

Compensation Philosophy:

For this role, the salary range is $200,000-250,000, with your final offer determined by your experience, skills, and interview performance. Every Teamworks teammate is an owner, with equity aligning your success with ours.
