Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant with substantial cost and project accounting skills to join our finance team. This role supports the financial health of the business by ensuring accurate reporting, tracking project costs, maintaining compliance, and driving strategic financial insights in a fast-paced, creative environment.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & General Accounting

  • Maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyze discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support external audits with documentation and responses.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure supporting documentation.

Project & Cost Accounting

  • Track and report on material, labor, and overhead costs for projects.
  • Monitor job costing, project budgets, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with production and project teams to ensure cost accuracy.
  • Identify cost variances and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist in pricing of artworks, commissions, and fabrication work.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Support AP/AR processes and ensure timely payment cycles.

Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Assist with sales tax, payroll tax, and other regulatory filings.
  • Maintain documentation for tax audits and compliance.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis

  • Support annual budget development and financial forecasting.
  • Provide financial insights and variance analysis to support decision-making.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of accounting experience with experience in cost and project accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Zoho CRM and Zoho Projects is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.

Salary Description

$80,000.00 to $100,000.00 Annually
