The US Financial Controller for UAP serves as the cornerstone of financial stewardship and strategic oversight. This senior-level role is responsible for managing all aspects of the finance function—including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, maintaining the general ledger, supervising accounts payable/receivable and payroll, and coordinating audits and tax compliance with sales/payroll filings They drive cost and project accounting processes by tracking material, labor, and overhead expenses across creative design and foundry + fabrication production processes, ensuring accurate job costing and identifying opportunities for efficiency savings. Additionally, the controller oversees budgeting, cash-flow management, liquidity planning, and internal controls, providing financial analysis and insights to support UAP's strategic decision-making. Working closely with executives, production teams, and external auditors, the financial controller ensures UAP's financial integrity while enabling growth and innovation in its global design and art‑fabrication projects.


Duties and Responsibilities -


Accounting Oversight & Financial Reporting (30%):

  • Manage all accounting-related activities and responsible for month end process including preparing accurate month-end reports for management in line with UAP group policies
  • Oversee daily transactions such as accounts payable, receivables, payroll, bookkeeping and reconciliations
  • Track, analyze and report budget variance. Identify and discuss potential business risks with management team
  • Revamp management reporting to provide timely and relevant information
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their financial information needs and tailor reports accordingly
  • Continuously improve reporting processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

 Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Insight (25%):

  • Develop annual operating budgets in collaboration with department heads
  • Responsible for preparing business quarterly forecast and deliver proper forecasting report to the management team for decision making
  • Provide critical insights into business performance and assist with regional managing director in the development of long-term financial strategies
  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities and capital allocation

  Risk Management & Internal Controls (10%):

  • Ensure compliance with government reporting and tax liabilities including completion of local, state and federal taxation with external tax consultant
  • Assist Group Financial Controller with year-end audit
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.

Ad Hoc Projects and Other Responsibilities (5%):

  • Participate in special projects and provide financial advice as assigned by senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support organizational goals

 Team Leadership and Collaboration (20%):

  • Supervise accounting staff and collaborate across departments
  • Facilitate training and professional development opportunities as mentor
  • Managing key external relationships including advisors, bankers and regulators
  • Engage with stakeholders globally and build trust through effective communication


Tools Required -

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) – Required
  • Microsoft Teams
  • QuickBooks
  • CRM experience a plus (Zoho)

Desired Credentials -

  • Tertiary qualification in finance management or related field
  • CA or CPA accreditation
  • Prior experience as a successful Financial Controller or CFO
  • Operational experience in driving change and supporting improved profitability
  • Strong understanding of the creative, construction or manufacturing industries
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and develop team members and collaborate with other senior managers
  • Ability to communicate, negotiate and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, build relationships and develop trust
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly financial modeling
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Experience in presenting at high-level meetings and other key stakeholders

This position will require travel to our Rock Tavern workshop on a regular basis.

Salary Description - $145,000.00 base pay with $175,000.00 total potential
