Interpreter

About UG Solutions LLC

UG Solutions LLC is a U.S.-based private security company specializing in high-risk environments. We provide mission-critical security solutions for government agencies, multinational organizations, and humanitarian efforts worldwide.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and mission-focused Interpreter to support defense operations and communications across multinational and multilingual environments. The ideal candidate will provide accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation and translation services in support of military, intelligence, and security missions. This role demands discretion, professionalism, and the ability to operate in high-stakes and often sensitive environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time verbal interpretation between English and target language(s) in operational, training, and briefing settings.
  • Translate written documents, technical materials, and classified information as required.
  • Support human intelligence (HUMINT), civil affairs, and liaison operations by bridging language and cultural gaps.
  • Assist with interpretation during interviews, interrogations, meetings, and operational briefings.
  • Ensure all translations retain the original meaning and context, with an emphasis on accuracy and nuance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle all materials in compliance with security protocols and classification guidelines.
  • Collaborate with military personnel, intelligence professionals, and other contractors to support mission objectives.
  • Adapt to changing mission needs and rapidly evolving operational environments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and at least one target language (e.g., Arabic, Pashto, Dari, Farsi, Russian, Mandarin, etc.).
  • Proven interpretation/translation experience in a military, government, or defense contractor setting.
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance at the appropriate level (e.g., Secret, TS/SCI).
  • Strong understanding of military terminology, protocol, and operational security.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively under pressure in austere, high-tempo environments, including working long hours on foot in hot, physically demanding, and potentially hazardous conditions—while consistently maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and mission-critical communication quality.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and cultural competency skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Certification through DLPT (Defense Language Proficiency Test) or equivalent is a plus.
