These include: buying and selling bitcoin directly to and from cold storage, bitcoin retirement accounts, bitcoin-backed loans, concierge services to educate clients on best security practices, and cold storage solutions for institutions and other businesses.




POSITION OVERVIEW


Unchained is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of designing, executing, and optimizing customer journeys that support Unchained’s mission of empowering bitcoin holders through self-custody and long-term financial services.


This role centers on email and social strategy, with a strong emphasis on segmentation, automation, and personalized messaging across the user lifecycle. From first impressions on social media to product onboarding and long-term engagement, this role connects the dots across platforms and touchpoints to guide prospects through the funnel.


We’re looking for someone who blends creative messaging with data-driven rigor to turn interest into action—and customers into advocates.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop and optimize lifecycle marketing strategies that guide prospects from first impression to long-term engagement, with a focus on email, CRM, and content touchpoints.
  • Own and evolve email marketing programs, creating targeted, sequenced campaigns that nurture leads, accelerate onboarding, and increase customer lifetime value.
  • Leverage content as a key tool for lifecycle success—collaborating on or writing educational, product-focused, and value-driven assets that deepen trust and engagement at every stage of the customer journey.
  • Analyze performance across email, social media, and CRM initiatives, using data to refine segmentation, messaging, and channel mix to maximize impact.
  • Manage social media strategies (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.) that spark top-of-funnel interest and connect to deeper lifecycle flows, ensuring a cohesive, premium brand experience.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Client Services teams to ensure messaging is relevant, timely, and aligned with the evolving customer experience.
  • Support content distribution and amplification strategies across email, social, partner, and owned channels—ensuring content reaches the right audience at the right moment.
  • Work with creative contributors (freelancers, agencies, internal teams) to ensure timely production of high-quality, on-brand content.
  • Stay informed on lifecycle marketing, CRM tools, and content trends to bring fresh, high-leverage ideas to Unchained’s marketing engine.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have 3+ years of content marketing experience, with a focus on email marketing and social media management for premium or aspirational brands.
  • You have an understanding of bitcoin terminology, bitcoin private keys, and multisig as a security model
  • You have a proven track record in creating and managing successful email campaigns, with a strong understanding of segmentation, customer journeys, and lifecycle marketing.
  • You are able to grow and maintain highly engaged social media communities, elevating brand perception through strategic content.
  • You are familiar with marketing automation tools, email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp), and social media management software.
  • You are familiar with AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, ChatGPT) and how to leverage them to increase performance and quality of output.
  • You have strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data and insights to improve campaign effectiveness and content strategy.
  • You have an understanding of SEO fundamentals and content optimization techniques.
  • You have excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • You are a creative thinker with strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills that resonate with sophisticated audiences.
  • You live in the United States.

  • You have built and optimized automated email nurture sequences that led to multi-product adoption or deeper user engagement.
  • You have written high-performing lifecycle content across onboarding, education, upsell, or re-engagement flows.
  • You have launched social content that tied directly into broader funnel strategies and lifecycle campaigns.
  • You have worked with RevOps or data teams to define segments and personalize user journeys.
  • You have used HubSpot, Braze, or similar tools for campaign building, reporting, and automation.
  • You have experience working in the Bitcoin or financial services space.
