About the role


We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organized Tax Administrator to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll support the daily operations of our tax and strategy team, manage client communication, and ensure important tasks are completed on time and in line with internal SOPs. You’ll play a vital role in making sure our clients have a smooth, responsive, and well-documented experience.


What you'll do


  • Monitor and manage the tax team’s email inbox; prioritize, route, and respond to messages as needed
  • Send post-meeting Strategy Summary Emails to clients using provided templates
  • Follow up with clients on action items and missing documents
  • Maintain up-to-date records and follow standard procedures for responding to client inquiries
  • Coordinate with strategists and internal team to track deliverables and meeting outcomes
  • Reference and execute detailed SOPs for communication and task management


Qualifications

  • Has experience with QuickBooks Online, Adobe, ShareFile, and Google suite and ability to learn new software (required).
  • Able to occasionally communicate with disgruntled clients and direct them to the proper tax member who can solve their problem.
  • Works well with tax preparers to understand what pieces of information need to be gathered from the customer and communicating with the customer to do so.
  • Is diligent to maintain customer profiles including taking meeting notes, documenting communication, creating profiles for new customers in Uplinq Airtable software, preparing tax engagement letters
  • Able to assist in gathering data from the Accounting team including find prior year returns given to Uplinq Bookkeeping and upload to the Tax filing system, downloading financial reports provided by Uplinq Bookkeeping and upload to tax’s filing system.


Qualifications


  • 2+ years experience in an administrative, tax, finance, or operations support role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with disgruntled clients and direct them to the proper tax member.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using tools Word, Excel, Notion, Airtable, email platforms, and internal documentation.
  • Self-motivated and reliable—able to manage your time and stay on top of recurring tasks.

The pay range for this role is:

50,000 - 60,000 USD per year (Remote)
