What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of tax returns, overseeing the preparation of complex individual and business filings to ensure accuracy and compliance, while leveraging technology to drive efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and support team members by identifying training needs, providing hands-on guidance, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures that optimize Uplinq’s technological resources to improve efficiency and manage high volumes of work.
- Manage budgets, team hours, and resource allocation to deliver projects effectively within financial and time constraints.
- Demonstrate flexibility and commitment by working extended hours during peak tax seasons to meet deadlines and support the team under pressure.
- Establish and enforce rigorous quality control protocols to maintain the highest standards in tax preparation and compliance, driving continuous process and efficiency improvements.
- Train and mentor junior staff members, enhancing technical expertise and professional growth in tax-related matters
Qualifications
- Active EA or CPA certification
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, math, or economics (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in tax operations or public accounting, including 3+ years in a managerial role
- Expertise in corporate tax laws with the ability to explain complex issues clearly
- Significant experience with QuickBooks Online and CCH Access tax software
- Demonstrated leadership in managing, training, and mentoring high-performing teams
- Ability to quickly adapt to new processes and technologies

The pay range for this role is:
100,000 - 120,000 USD per year (Remote)
