About the Role
We’re hiring a Vice President of Sales to architect, scale, and lead the revenue engine powering Uplinq’s growth from $5MM to $50MM ARR. You’ll oversee all facets of our go-to-market strategy—new business, expansion, outbound, and partnerships—and be directly responsible for building a high-velocity team that helps 800+ small businesses join Uplinq every month.
This role blends hands-on execution with strategic leadership. You’ll spend your days in the trenches with reps, in the data with RevOps, and in the room with the CEO, shaping how we win this category.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and own the full revenue engine—from top-of-funnel outbound to expansion and partner channels—while exceeding monthly and annual growth targets.
- Hire, coach, and scale a 10–30 person GTM team across SDRs, AEs, and Account Management, with clear enablement plans, comp structures, and performance metrics.
- Refine sales playbooks and positioning, ensuring message-market fit and fast iteration across inbound, outbound, and partner channels.
- Stand up and optimize the SDR motion, with repeatable outbound processes that drive ≥25% of new pipeline by Q4.
- Build our expansion and upsell engine, deploying tactical plays to double ACV via tax, financial strategy, and AI automation add-ons.
- Launch a scalable partner program, with defined tiers, SLAs, and co-selling motions for fractional CFOs and accounting firms.
- Collaborate across Marketing, Product, and RevOps to align ICP, campaign strategy, enablement assets, and customer feedback loops.
What We’re Looking For
- 7–10+ years in B2B SaaS sales, including 3+ years in a VP or senior sales leadership role scaling from <$20MM to $50MM+ ARR.
- Deep experience selling to SMBs, ideally in fintech, accounting tech, or a parallel space with consultative, value-driven sales cycles.
- Proven success building and managing GTM teams of 10–30+, spanning inbound, outbound, and customer growth.
- Advanced fluency in sales operations and forecasting—you’ve built systems in HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Excel/BI.
- Experience building outbound programs from scratch, including SDR hiring, scripting, and multi-channel sequencing.
- Strong cross-functional leader with a track record of aligning Sales, Marketing, Product, and CS around revenue goals.
- Data-driven mindset, customer obsession, and the confidence to challenge conventional sales wisdom when the metrics tell a better story.
