About the role

Uride is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance to lead the company’s finance function and partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team. This role will be responsible for financial strategy, FP&A, capital planning, and fundraising, while building scalable financial systems to support rapid growth.

The ideal candidate has held senior finance leadership roles such as Head of Finance, VP Finance, or CFO, and brings hands-on experience in high-growth, technology-enabled environments.

  • This role does not use AI to screen applications. Artificial intelligence is not used to make final hiring decisions; all decisions are made by human reviewers. However, automated interview transcription may be done to support and speed up the process

What you'll do

Strategic Finance & Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, contributing to company-wide planning and decision-making
  • Define and execute Uride’s financial strategy to support growth, profitability, and operational scalability
  • Lead long-term financial planning and scenario modelling for new markets, pricing strategies, and product initiatives

FP&A & Financial Management

  • Own end-to-end FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and unit economics
  • Provide actionable financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions

Capital Markets & Fundraising

  • Lead capital fundraising initiatives, including equity, debt, and strategic financing
  • Build and manage relationships with investors, lenders, and financial partners
  • Prepare investor decks, board materials, and financial narratives to support fundraising and growth efforts

Financial Operations & Governance

  • Oversee accounting, audit, tax, compliance, and risk management
  • Ensure strong financial controls, policies, and reporting standards
  • Implement and scale financial systems and processes aligned with company growth

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team
  • Partner closely with Product, Operations, People, and Technology teams to align financial strategy with execution


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally in technology, marketplace, mobility, or high-growth startups
  • Prior experience as Head of Finance, VP Finance, CFO, or equivalent senior finance role
  • Deep expertise in FP&A, strategic finance, capital markets, and capital fundraising
  • Strong understanding of unit economics, financial modelling, and scaling operations
  • CPA or CMA certification required (CFA or MBA considered an asset)
  • Experience working with Boards, investors, and executive leadership teams
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

The pay range for this role is:

200,000 - 240,000 CAD per year (Remote (Canada))
