About the role

Valaurum is growing rapidly, and we are looking to hire an Assistant Manager of Print to work with our internal teams to improve our processes and track our daily production, print and production workflow, in addition to working on research and development projects for new equipment and proprietary techniques. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with internal teams to manage projects and ensure that all details are organized and deadlines are met. This position reports to the Senior Print Production Manager. This is a supervisory position.



Responsibilities

  • Provides support, clear communication, and status updates for production team
  • Proactively lead all schedules and project plans to track and maintain project milestones and delivery dates
  • Works closely with the Senior Print Production Manager to reassign resources as needed.
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of project operations including interdepartmental communication and print production research/development
  • Follow process workflow documents and checklists
  • Attend Research and Development meetings.
  • Develop SOPs in a timely manner as directed.
  • Work with Senior Print Production Manager to develop new processes and procedures.
  • Suggest workflow and process improvements
  • Oversee training and maintenance of new systems.
  • Monitor team productivity, provide performance evaluations, constructive feedback, mentorship, and disciplinary action when necessary
  • Schedule print production technicians
  • Responsible for supervision of internal team during print production processes, including providing support, clear communications of expectations and outcomes, and prioritization of work flow through management and assignment of duties to ensure quality and timely outcomes

Qualifications

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Print production experience
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deliverables at a given time
  • Experience with project management software (Basecamp or similar)
  • Highly proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Proficiency with remote conferencing, inventory management, and budgeting tools
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
  • Can work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Due to nature of product, background check required

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with digital printing, flexographic printing, lamination systems, and rotary die cutting
