Valkyrie

Senior Product Designer

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

About Us:

Valkyrie is an applied science firm that builds industry-defining custom AI, ML and Knowledge Engineering solutions. Our interdisciplinary applied science teams support our clients from data normalization all the way through model deployment. Our work can be found across industry from SiriusXM, Activision, Chubb Insurance, and the Department of Defense, to name a few.

Valkyrie is developing an internal product, leveraging best-in-class AI technology. This position will help spearhead the product design. This is an early stage launch and will require someone who is ambitious, takes initiative and thrives in building foundational design practices. Experience at an early-stage company is a plus.

Senior Product Designer Position:

We're seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our team as our second design hire. This position will own visual design excellence across our entire product ecosystem—from brand identity and marketing websites to complex AI-powered software products. You'll partner closely with our Senior Director of Design to establish design excellence across multiple client projects and internal products, while helping build and maintain our design system. This role requires creating pixel-perfect UI designs in Figma, designing sophisticated workflows for AI/ML products, conducting user research to validate decisions, and collaborating with the engineering and data science teams to deliver production-ready specifications. You'll work systematically to define visual identity for two internal brands, create marketing collateral, prototype complex interdependent features, and share work early and often with teams and users to iterate rapidly toward solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
