Job Description:


The Eligibility Coordinator is responsible for maintaining data in NextGen Practice Management System to ensure patient insurance information is correct and current, and informing appropriate staff of changes in insurance that will affect coverage of visits, such as expired insurance plans, changes in benefits or co-pays.  The Eligibility Coordinator will also verify patient eligibility for Substance Use and Mental Health grants, as well as other grants.  The nature of this position is multi-faceted, and the Eligibility Coordinator may also be performing work on demographic updates, billing and payment posting, as well as any other areas identified by leadership. 


Salary: $18.00 - $20.00/hour

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma/GED and 1 or more years in Billing.
  • Eligibility experience in preferably the mental health or primary care fields.
  • Computer literate with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Must have exceptional skills in communication (written and verbal) and be able to execute conflict resolution. 
  • Ability to develop routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong verbal, written, and communications skills
  • Knowledge of Windows environment and/or Electronic Health Records Systems.
  • Ability to provide culturally sensitive services
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Must possess reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must maintain current BLS certification
  • TB Screening Record and PPD/QuantiFERON/Chest x-ray as applicable upon hire
  • Vaccinations/Titer’s Test/Declination Form: Flu, Hep B, MMR, Tdap, Varicella, COVID-19
