Job Description:

The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for the timely credentialing, recredentialing, and payer enrollment of all independently licensed providers across Valle del Sol’s medical and behavioral health services. This role ensures providers are properly credentialed, contracted, and rostered with all applicable payers to support compliant billing, PPS reimbursement, and uninterrupted revenue. Credentialing activities begin upon notification of a provider’s start date and are managed proactively in collaboration with internal teams and external payers.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three (3) years of healthcare credentialing experience required.
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based applications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex health plan systems and payer portals.
• Must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Flu vaccination or qualified medical or religious exemption required.
