Job Description:


The Pediatrician is responsible for the primary healthcare of children and young adults.  They independently provide care and treatment of patients within scope of practice defined by specialty board(s) and prior experience.  The Pediatrician provides physical examination, diagnosis and plan of care including diagnostic tests, prescriptions and medication management, specialty referrals and possible minor procedures.  The Pediatrician provides preventative visits to include well physicals, sports / school / participation physicals as well as recommended vaccination and screenings.

Job Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics.  If Board Eligible, then certification within one year.
  • Unrestricted medical license in Arizona as a Physician
  • Current valid DEA registration and certificate
  • Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
  • Outstanding organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Initiative, creativity, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility
  • Ability to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to provide quality care
  • Ability to consistently present a friendly, welcoming, and professional appearance
  • Must have reliable transportation and possess valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Culturally sensitive.
  • Must have or is able to obtain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Basic Life Support trained or the ability to be trained at time of hire.
  • Clearance from the APS Registry and from the Direct Service Central Registry.
  • TB Screening Record and PPD/QuantiFERON/Chest x-ray upon hire, as applicable.
  • Vaccinations/Titer’s Test/Declination Form: Flu, Hep B, MMR, Tdap, Varicella, COVID 19.
