The Salesforce Developer supports the ongoing growth of a Higher Education Client's Salesforce Program by delivering new features and maintaining existing solutions within their Salesforce environment. This role works closely with business and technical teams to design, build, and implement solutions that align with best practices and business needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom solutions on the Salesforce platform (Apex, Flows, Lightning Web Components).
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure solutions follow Salesforce best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Support data modeling, integrations, and migrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain clear documentation of solutions and processes.

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of Salesforce development experience.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Flows, Lightning Web Components, and declarative tools.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce integrations (APIs, Data Loader).
  • Understanding of Salesforce security (roles, profiles, permission sets).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Preferred
    • Salesforce Developer I and Administrator certifications (required).
    • Developer II certification
    • Experience with version control and deployment tools (e.g., Copado, Git).
    • Familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.


Additional Information

  • Work is primarily remote within the United States, with occasional travel for on-site meetings or facilitation sessions in the Washington, D.C. area.
  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and able to pass standard background checks.


Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Washington, D.C. area)

Employment Type: 1099 Contract postion with potentional for W2 conversion

Compensation: $80-$100/hr, commensurate with experience

Security Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required
