Demand Planner

As a Demand Planner in our Supply Chain function within the Spine division, you’ll develop and maintain high-quality consensus demand plans by combining statistical analysis with cross-functional insights — ensuring accurate forecasts that support business objectives, product launches, and supply chain reliability.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and maintain high-quality demand forecasts and analytics by assembling and analyzing historical orders/shipments, item master data, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and product life-cycle information
- Serve as the primary demand planning contact for Marketing, Sales, Finance, IBP Franchise Managers, and Global Operations Master Schedulers
- Facilitate and lead the demand planning process, coordinating and consolidating plans with other Demand Planners to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Act as a liaison to cross-functional senior management, providing education on the demand plan, its implications, risks, and key assumptions during monthly review cycles
- Partner with the global Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team to ensure demand plans are effectively communicated across the supply function
- Successfully partner with cross-functional teams in monthly demand planning working sessions and Executive Demand Reviews
- Ensure demand plans are collected and approved by the required business and financial leaders according to the monthly process cadence
- Support product life-cycle management for new product launches and product exits, monitoring SKU levels and recommending rationalization initiatives
- Collaborate with planning analysts and forecast modelers to develop reporting that supports better business decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes, procedures, policies, and technologies
- Improve forecast quality by analyzing forecast metrics and recommending action plans in partnership with the central forecasting team
- Support training and education sessions within the demand planning team and across the organization
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices and advocate for their adoption where appropriate
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required (concentration in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or Finance preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Management/Forecasting, Sales Operations/Planning, Finance/Accounting, or Marketing
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated technical/data science abilities
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with tools such as Access, ERP systems, Tableau, SQL, and Power BI
- Prior experience with demand planning tools (e.g., Oracle Demantra, Demand Solutions, or SteelWedge) is a plus
- APICS, IBF, or other professional supply chain certification preferred
- Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies
- Experience using statistical software packages and performing extensive spreadsheet analysis
- Fluency in English (second language is a plus)
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, communicate complex issues clearly, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation:
Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and performance. The typical pay range for this position is $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 annually, with potential for bonuses and incentives plus benefits. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers a variety of factors including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.
