Are you a creative and driven student interested in building experience in healthcare marketing and brand communications? At VB Spine, our Marketing Communications Interns play a valuable role in supporting initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, engagement, and communication across the organization. This internship is ideal for students who enjoy storytelling, content creation, and digital marketing, while gaining exposure to a fast-paced, mission-driven medical device environment.

As a Marketing Communications Intern, you will support the development, execution, and evaluation of marketing and communication strategies across multiple platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams while gaining hands-on experience in healthcare marketing, brand management, digital communications, and campaign coordination.

What You’ll Do: 

• Assist in the creation and editing of marketing materials including brochures, presentations, email campaigns, website content, and social media posts
• Support content development for digital platforms while ensuring brand consistency and messaging alignment
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support marketing strategy and campaign planning
• Assist with coordinating marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional initiatives
• Track and report on marketing performance metrics such as social media engagement, email analytics, and website traffic
• Support event planning and logistics for conferences, trade shows, and internal company events
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Development, and Clinical teams
• Maintain organized marketing files, brand assets, and content calendars
• Assist with additional marketing and communications initiatives as needed

What You Bring: 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
• Junior or Senior standing preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Familiarity with social media platforms and analytics tools such as LinkedIn, Instagram, or Hootsuite
• Basic understanding of digital marketing principles
• Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and contribute
• Interest in healthcare, medical devices, or the spine industry preferred
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style guidelines is a plus

Compensation: 
This is a paid internship position with an hourly rate of $30 per hour.

Internship opportunities are available in Leesburg, VA and Allendale, NJ, depending on team and project assignment.

While the position is open to non-local candidates, relocation and housing assistance are not provided, and candidates are responsible for any related relocation or housing expenses.

VB Spine reserves the right to offer compensation outside of this listed range. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers factors such as experience level, skill set, and market conditions.
