Vector Health helps rural hospitals unlock financial aid for their patients by identifying medical mutual aid opportunities through non-profits. Our platform ingests sensitive patient data from hospitals, applies patients for funding, and manages the flow of reimbursements. We're building a scalable, secure, and high-impact healthcare infrastructure product that directly supports reducing medical debt.
About the Role
We are looking for a Patient Advocate Manager to be a key part of our growing operations team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will work closely with hospital clients to identify patients in need, match them to funding opportunities, and manage the entire financial aid process from application to reimbursement.
This is a dynamic, detail-intensive role requiring strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. You'll be at the front line of delivering value to our customers and their patients.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with rural hospital EHR systems to identify patients in financial need and apply them to non-profit funding sources
- Monitor our database of non-profits daily to check status changes, eligibility updates, and deadlines
- Research and onboard new non-profits to expand our funding network
- Match patients with the most relevant funding opportunities based on eligibility and need
- Manage the application and reimbursement process end-to-end
- Track and remit funds to hospitals accurately and efficiently
- Communicate KPIs and impact metrics to hospitals
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to streamline processes and reduce manual work
- Report bugs and suggest product improvements based on operational insights
Who You Are:
- Recent college graduate or 1–2 years of experience in a related field such as operations, healthcare, customer support, or research
- Healthcare experience is a plus
- Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized with a strong process mindset
- Comfortable with complex systems and technical challenges
- A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and startup environments
- Deeply comfortable working with data and tools to drive outcomes
- A builder at heart—energized by the idea of creating something from scratch
- A strong communicator who can manage customer relationships with empathy and clarity
- Able to manage yourself effectively, take initiative, and operate independently with accountability

The pay range for this role is:
60,000 - 80,000 USD per year (Remote)
