Vector Health is on a mission to help hospitals secure financial aid for their patients by identifying medical mutual aid from non-profits. We work closely with rural hospital CEOs and CFOs, leveraging patient data to find funding opportunities, apply for reimbursement, and manage the entire application and money flow process.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Head of Operations to be our first hire and play a foundational role in building the future of our operations function. You will start as an individual contributor, rolling up your sleeves to solve complex, highly detailed operational challenges. Over time, you'll scale and lead a high-performing operations team, likely composed of both offshore and onshore contributors.

This role is perfect for someone who is highly detail-oriented, a systems thinker, and energized by the idea of solving hard problems at the intersection of technology, healthcare, and process. You'll work directly with our co-founders, Annie (your direct manager) and Braden, and partner closely with Product and Engineering to help productize operations, automate workflows, and keep the team lean.

What You’ll Do:

• Own end-to-end operations: Manage everything from patient data processing to funding applications and financial reconciliation
• Design and optimize systems: Build scalable workflows, improve processes, and implement tools to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Work with product and engineering: Translate operational needs into product features, collaborate on tooling, and ensure we build for scale
• Lead and scale a team: Hire and manage a hybrid operations team across time zones, focusing on quality, consistency, and training
• Navigate complex data flows: Manage sensitive hospital and patient data with precision and care
• Drive operational excellence: Develop KPIs, track performance, and continuously improve how we work
• Work with customers to run implementations in EHRs: Collaborate closely with hospital teams to ensure seamless onboarding and integration
• Understand customer KPIs: Work with hospital leadership to identify and support the outcomes that matter most to them
• Apply patients for funding opportunities: Manage the process of identifying and securing financial aid from nonprofits for eligible patients
