The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Director of eCommerce to lead VeeFriends’ DTC eCommerce, LiveCommerce, and digital marketplace strategy and channel management. The role will report to our Executive Vice President, while requiring close partnership with cross functional teams across Finance, Supply Chain & Operations, B2B Sales, Creative, among other stakeholders.
This is a team leadership role focused on both top-line revenue generation and commercial operations, necessitating a deep and proven understanding of how to optimize for high growth with data-driven approaches to improve LTV, and the operational prowess to develop ambitious-yet-thoughtful demand plans across core Collectible brand categories.
Our Ideal Hire Comes With…
- 10+ years of experience in eCommerce general management and/or growth marketing. Experience and familiarity with the Shopify Plus ecosystem and/or emerging LiveCommerce channels a big plus
- A proven ability to manage and deliver on top-line and bottom-line business plans, within a direct to consumer sales channel
- Tactical understanding of modern day technology and tech stacks that can help optimize conversion, efficiently acquire customers - and help convert and retain our unprecedentedly strong VeeFriends community into high lifetime value customers of our brand
- A strong analytical track record with experience implementing and/or leveraging Business Intelligence Dashboards and Reporting, and CRM tools, to unearth insights and opportunities for scalable business growth and visibility into minute-to-minute brand performance
- A foundational working knowledge of NFTs and “Web3”, with a strong curiosity and passion to learn more
The Key Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Oversee and manage the VeeFriends Shopify Plus-powered eCom strategy - across the storefront homepage, category pages, PDPs, and all Paid & Owned marketing channels
- Manage and maintain the VeeFriends eCom P&L, partnering with Finance and Leadership on pragmatic yet high growth annual planning and forecasting, with bottom-up approaches to channel allocations and product strategies
- Assess and implement a best-in-class tech stack of apps, supported by our Technology team, that provides the eCommerce capabilities needed to deliver and exceed business plans, while providing our community with a strong brand experience. (Our tech stack is grounded within Microsoft 365 Dynamics, while we build and develop tools in-house as needed, and other SaaS platforms that integrate well)
- Build and maintain a commerce Content & Promotional Marketing Calendar, geared to support the launch and sale of our DTC product offerings - which includes but is not limited to email, SMS, Organic Social Media, and when appropriate, Paid Media
- Partner with our Creative and Community teams to conceptualize and source relevant assets for our brand owned eCommerce channels - including .com storefront, product & category pages, email, and SMS marketing
- The ability to track, optimize for, and routinely report on typical eCommerce KPIs and metrics - including but not limited to traffic, conversion rates, AOV, CAC, and ultimately, model Customer LTV
- Develop and maintain a “real-time” Sales and Business Insights performance dashboard, in partnership with our Technology & Finance teams.

The pay range for this role is: 125-170K
