Your Role and Impact

The Technical Account Executive will join Venn at a time of accelerating growth and excitement. You will be at the forefront of Venn’s business expansion, driving sales across the small to mid-market segment while leveraging technical expertise to build compelling solutions for growth-oriented companies. The Technical Account Executive will be expected to tailor sales presentations and engage peer-to-peer with buyers considering managed services. This individual will bring with them first-hand experience working for an MSP.


This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 days per week in our New York office required.


What You Will Do:

  • Develop targeted sales strategies for small and mid-market security-driven customers
  • Conduct technical product demonstrations and sales presentations that showcase the key features, functions, and value of Venn’s products
  • Create technical business cases demonstrating clear ROI of managed services
  • Manage full sales cycle with technical depth and consultative approach
  • Complete pipeline management, including:
    • Inbound lead development
    • Opportunity development
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Develop detailed account plans and accurately forecast sales pipeline
  • Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and customer success teams
  • Maintain knowledge of the market and top competitors

What You Will Bring:

  • 10+ years of IT industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience selling MSP/managed services
  • Prior MSP employment required
  • Direct selling experience of relevant technologies: virtual desktops, Zero Trust, mobile device management, endpoint security, edge security, network security, data security, data loss prevention, and/or governance and compliance
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in complex B2B sales environments
  • Strong technical understanding of infrastructure and cloud services
  • Proven ability to articulate complex technical solutions
  • Experience with solution selling to service providers
  • High-energy, technical, and solutions-oriented working style
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Occasional travel to client sites will be required

Estimated base compensation: $125,000 - $150,000 USD/year
Estimated commission: $125,000 - $150,000 USD/year
Total Compensation: $250,000 - $300,000 USD/year
