About the role

Ventricle Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced person for a full-time Interoperability leader to join our technology team. A critical role and force multiplier, the Interoperability leader is an integral member of the team responsible for facilitating customer success through timely EMR data exchange between us and our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in startup environments, a proven track record in clinical data exchange, and expertise in EMR integrations.


What you'll do

  • Design and develop EMR integration strategy that meets clinical and business objectives. This involves identifying necessary integration standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7) and direct trust
  • Own EMR integration for all VH customers including DirectTrust integrations or other forms of data exchanges. Implement across sites and train customers and clinical staff as needed
  • Be the customer facing EMR integration driver while ensuring alignment on problem definition, solution and operational model across internal Ventricle Health internal stakeholders (clinical operations, market performance etc) 
  • Technology subject matter expert for Ventricle Health EMR (Elation) from understanding of EMR data structure, data extraction, reporting and integration opportunities. Own relationship with vendor   
  • Own and implement HIE strategy across customers and states ensuring VH EMR is hydrated with necessary clinical data
  • Own relationships with vendors like Zus health and Kno2 and help drive integration strategy of those tools with core VH platform(s)
  • SME in the EMR and HIE space with focus on evaluating new tools/vendors and emerging technologies in the interoperability space
  • Develop SOPs and documentation such that solutions can be codified and operationalized at scale
  • Ownership of other SAAS clinical tools that are used by clinical team as part of patient management    

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT, with a focus on EMR integration and interoperability.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data standards, including FHIR, HL7, and direct trust.
  • Experience with HIE strategy and implementation.
  • Experience with vendor relationship management and integration strategy.
  • SME in the EMR and HIE space, with a focus on evaluating new tools/vendors and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Passion for healthcare and digital health.
