About the role:
The Director of Operations provides strategic and operational leadership across all company markets to ensure exceptional execution, safety, and customer experience. This role oversees field performance, operational standards, and team leadership with a relentless focus on customer satisfaction, Net Promoter Score (NPS), and operational efficiency. The Director drives accountability, consistency, and excellence across production, service, and installation teams, ensuring each customer interaction reinforces Veridian’s people-first mission.
What you'll do:
Installation Leadership
- Lead and develop production managers and project managers across all markets.
- Ensure consistent execution of installation standards, job quality, and customer experience.
- Build a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and safety across installation teams.Lead and develop production managers and project managers across all markets.

Subcontractor & Crew Management
- Build and manage a high-performing network of subcontracted installation crews.
- Establish clear performance expectations, job standards, and compliance requirements.
- Evaluate contractor performance and maintain strong relationships with top crews.
Capacity & Scheduling
- Ensure installation capacity keeps pace with sales growth.
- Develop scalable scheduling systems that maximize productivity and minimize project delays.
- Work closely with Sales leadership to align sales volume with install capacity.
Quality & Customer Experience
- Own installation quality metrics including:
- Job completion timelines
- Customer satisfaction
- Go-back / warranty rates
- Net Promoter Score (NPS)
- Implement quality control processes that ensure first-time-right installations.
Market Expansion
- Support the launch of new markets by building contractor networks and installation infrastructure.
- Develop repeatable installation playbooks for scaling greenfield locations.
Process Improvement
- Establish standardized installation processes, documentation, and training.
- Identify operational efficiencies that improve margin and installation timelines.
- Leverage operational data to continuously improve install performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure a seamless transition from sale to installation.
- Work with Finance to ensure job profitability and cost control.
- Partner with HR to recruit and develop field leadership.
What we are looking for:
- 8–12+ years of leadership experience in home improvement, construction, or outdoor services.
- Experience managing installation teams or subcontractor networks in industries such as:
- Pool renovation
- Outdoor living
- Roofing
- Windows / doors
- Bath remodeling
- Hardscapes / landscapingPool renovation
- Deep understanding of installation workflows, scheduling, subcontractor management, and job costing.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume installation operations.
- Strong ability to develop and mentor field leaders and production teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and operational planning skills.
- Strong communication and relationship management abilities.
- Experience working with CRM, scheduling, and job management systems.
- Strong ability to interpret operational data and drive performance improvements.
- Ability to travel between markets up to 40–50%.
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Regular exposure to outdoor environments and active job sites.
- Ability to walk job sites and inspect installations.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Combination of office and field-based work.
