About the role:

The Director of Performance Marketing is responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing Veridian’s performance marketing engine to deliver predictable, efficient lead generation and revenue growth. This role owns the strategy, execution, and performance of paid and performance-driven channels across the full marketing mix.


This leader ensures that performance media complements and amplifies brand efforts while maintaining clear accountability for demand outcomes. You will launch and scale new channels, optimize media investment across existing channels, and hold internal teams and agency partners accountable to performance targets.


This is a senior leadership role for a data-driven marketer who blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, someone who can architect media strategy, evaluate ROI, and continuously improve channel performance in a multi-market, high-growth environment.


What you'll do:

Performance Marketing Strategy & Ownership

  • Define and own Veridian’s performance marketing strategy across paid search, paid social, display, video, affiliates, and emerging channels.
  • Develop integrated media plans aligned to growth targets, seasonality, and market-level demand.
  • Balance short-term lead generation needs with long-term efficiency and scalability.
  • Launch media into new marketing and in support of new brands that quickly deliver on lead generation and revenue targets. 
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing performance marketing team.

Channel Launch & Optimization

  • Lead the testing, launch, and scaling of new performance marketing channels and tactics.
  • Continuously optimize channel mix, budgets, and bids to maximize lead volume, quality, and ROI.
  • Establish clear test-and-learn frameworks to evaluate new opportunities and improve performance.

Media Performance & Accountability

  • Own performance targets for leads, cost per lead, conversion rates, and downstream revenue impact.
  • Set clear expectations and KPIs for internal teams and external media agencies.
  • Hold agencies accountable through structured reporting, performance reviews, and optimization roadmaps.

Marketing Mix & Investment Management

  • Optimize the marketing mix across channels, markets, and brands to maximize return on investment.
  • Partner with Growth Analytics to evaluate performance, attribution, and incrementality.
  • Make data-backed recommendations on budget allocation, re-forecasting, and investment trade-offs.


What we are looking for:

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, or demand generation roles.
  • Proven success building and executing media plans that drive measurable lead generation and revenue growth.
  • Experience managing and holding media agencies accountable for performance outcomes.
  • Background in multi-market, high-growth, or services-based businesses preferred.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Deep expertise across paid media channels (search, social, display, video, affiliates).
  • Strong understanding of performance measurement, attribution, and optimization methodologies.
  • Experience managing large media budgets and complex channel mixes.
  • Comfort partnering with analytics teams to interpret data and inform decisions.
